Abstract
VILLANUEVA, Julissa; AUZ, Diana and LOPEZ, Karla. Educomunication against co-creation processes: how to train today's journalist?. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2021, vol.13, n.6, pp. 295-305. Epub Dec 10, 2021. ISSN 2218-3620.
This article proposes a comprehensive classroom design to encourage the development of three generic competencies: research capacity, teamwork capacity, and the ability to work autonomously. From class co-creation processes developed with journalism students at an Ecuadorian university, between 2019 and 2020, it is identified how the construction of bridges between teachers and students leads to the potentialization of the professional profile, according to market requirements. The research has a descriptive design and its methodology is mixed. For data collection, the bibliographic review, the survey and a discussion group were used. An intentional non-probabilistic sampling was applied to 146 journalism students in two phases and its results determine that the structure of this classroom design is adaptable to a face-to-face and a hybrid modality. This study is part of the collection of evidence to apply for an academic innovation project, for the feasibility of setting up a Comprehensive University Communication Clinic at the service of society.
