Architecture, as part of material culture, is one of the most relevant sources of human knowledge. For this article, the evaluations made of the works of the Modern Movement are taken as a reference. The objective is to evaluate from the perspective of science - technology - society (CTS) studies the importance of the conservation of the Modern Movement apartment buildings in the historic center of Camagüey. The approach is based on the value given by the population to this heritage, in pursuit of the satisfaction of human needs. The article shows the importance of multidisciplinary work that benefits professionals, institutions and society, by guaranteeing the conservation of the works of the Modern Movement from a CTS approach, by generating a flexible architecture adaptable to contemporary living conditions, which which makes them a reference for new works. In practice, the result achieved supports the role of science in the production, dissemination and application of knowledge, as well as the possibility of architecture to respond to the challenges that society faces.
