Abstract

A systematic review was carried out with the objective of analyzing rural educational experiences during the pandemic. The bibliographic systems used were ERIC, PROQUEST and EBSCO. The search strategy considered the terms "Rural education" and "COVID-19", in English and Spanish. Original articles were included as well as articles that included the entire educational community as participants. Reports, conferences, reports, books, book chapters, editorial notes, reviews and duplicate documents were excluded. In the 25 articles chosen, 44% were hosted in ERIC, 68% came from countries of the American continent, 80% were published in English, the predominant approach was qualitative (52%), the focus of interest was the student population (60%), and only one instrument was used to collect information (76%). The topics addressed were teaching-learning processes, educational assessment, digital coping, non-traditional instruction, didactic and digital-technological competencies, academic continuity, distance learning difficulties, perception of educational inequality and accessibility to information technologies and their emotional impact, educational, pedagogical, technological and monitoring support in schools with students with differentiated educational needs and educational management in the context of pandemic.
