Abstract

The main objective of the work is to carry out a systematic review of the personal experience and other authors in reference to active methodologies in higher education.

According to what is mentioned in this reflection of a series of investigations both by our group and by other authors on active methodologies, and their result of application in an experience throughout different subjects and years in physical education subjects in Higher Education. It presents the most relevant characteristics regarding the educational paradigm shift necessary to understand the continuum that goes from teacher-centered teaching styles to active methodological processes centered on the cognitive and learning styles of students. students. As a result of this experience, we conclude that student satisfaction with active methodologies is higher than with more traditional methodologies, and that learning environments are improved with these work methods.
