Abstract

ITURRALDE CARRERA, Luis Angel; JIMENEZ BORGES, Reinier; MOLINA SANTANA, Ernesto  and  ALVAREZ GONZALEZ, Andrés Lorenzo. Photovoltaic generation potentials on the roof of the CRAI building of the university of Cienfuegos. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2022, vol.14, n.3, pp. 318-330.  Epub June 30, 2022. ISSN 2218-3620.

The following research presents the calculation of the photovoltaic generation potentials from the use of the roof surface of the CRAI building of the University of Cienfuegos. For this, a constructive survey of the building was started where the incidence of shadows, the orientation and inclination of its roofs were analyzed, as well as the specific meteorological information of the territory, necessary for the generation calculations and its inclusion in the PVsyst software. 7.1. Finally, the calculation of the sub-arrangements of the Solar Photovoltaic System (SSFV) for the building was carried out from the use of nationally produced photovoltaic modules and inverters available as references in the specialized software. The simulation with the PVsyst 7.1 showed that in the building there is an available area of building roofs of 603 m2, an area where it is possible to install a total of 311 photovoltaic modules of the DSM-380 model, with a generation capacity of 118 kWp and a real annual generation of 148.7 MWh / year. The economic evaluation gave the best option considering the investment costs that of China, being 1 846 444.32 CUP and a recovery period of 9 years.
