Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have been a constant study subject, for this reason, there are scientific information studies and research covering a variety of topics over time. In this way the research carried out aimed to determine how the administrative management factors in the SMEs of the commercial sector of Santo Domingo city were used, in order to achieve the objective, field research was used, applying a mixed methodology with a descriptive exploratory approach, In addition, stratified probabilistic sampling was used to divide the population into urban parishes and to achieve a better analysis when applying the surveys, which were divided into four factors that are: planning, organization, direction and control. In this way the results obtained showed that the managers or SMEs owners in the commercial sector mostly have good knowledge about administrative management, however, in the organizational factor there is some ignorance about some processes, on the other hand, the control factor is the one that has the highest score in the research carried out, therefore, administrative management influences the company activities, therefore, it is necessary that the managers or owners thereof are fully qualified to achieve the maximum performance in the companies.
