Abstract

The communication of the cultural patrimony as via for the socialization of the patrimonial resource that museums store, it is constituted in key element that guarantees the collective appropriation and the protection of the cultural legacy. As creative process, it is able to develop affective links with the visitor and to promote positive attitudes toward the patrimony. In such a sense, the research has as objective to value the educational and communicative process in the Castle of San Severino. Museum of the slavery. It derives of the study on the educational action in the museums of the city yumurina that the instrument used for analysis derives from the Project qualitative Evaluation of educational programs in Spanish museums. The research is developed through the case study and as technical it is appealed to the interview in depth and the participant observation. The results demonstrate derived strengths of the staff professionalism and the weaknesses are sustained on the base of economic and technological resources. The research is considered pioneer in the Cuban context and the results contribute to improve the educational work and of socialization of this center and and promote reflection for other museums in the Cuban sphere.
