The purpose of the research was to identify the factor of teacher self-perceived competence of greatest relevance in primary education teachers. The incidental sample consisted of 256 teachers from a municipality in the southern state of Sonora. The Assessment Scale of the Teacher's Self-Perceived Competence in Primary Education was applied. SPSS Version 25 was used for data analysis. As the main finding, the socio-emotional factor stands out as the most relevant, particularly the sub-factors coexistence, empathy, group dynamization and communicative sensitivity as the most important and empathy as the least developed. The communicative-relational factor remained at an intermediate level, while the instructional factor was the least valued.
