Abstract
PADILLA AVILA, Rosbym Monico. Politics and human dignity: challenges in Honduras, analysis from the social doctrine of the church. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2022, vol.14, n.6, pp. 85-95. Epub Dec 01, 2022. ISSN 2218-3620.
Research aims to improve the culture of Hondurans about Politics and human dignity, based that laity are called to assume the implications and challenges derived from the Gospel of Jesus and the Social Doctrine of the Church (SDC). It provides concepts, reflections, and interpretations, which will serve as a foundation for Hondurans to take on the challenge of evangelizing in Politics; from their involment and testimony, guiding the actions of the State, the Political Parties and the civil society for the promotion of human dignity, and providing solutions to the hopeless Honduran reality; that demands radical changes, in search of a more humane, fair and fraternal society, from the new evangelization. From the hermeneutical analysis of the socio-political reality of Honduras in the light of the SDC, it is concluded that the Church is called to build a social, political, economic, cultural and ecological order, fair and solidarity for all, in which the national and international community can develop and live in peace, from a human, comprehensive and supportive perspective, based on respect and promotion of human dignity and human rights.
