CAPOTE FEMENIAS, José Luis; MILIAN VAZQUEZ, Pedro Miguel  and  JIMENEZ QUINTANA, Zuilen. An instrument to evaluate job satisfaction in general comprehensive stomatology services in cuba. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2022, vol.14, n.6, pp. 123-136.  Epub Dec 01, 2022. ISSN 2218-3620.

The quality of healthcare is a multidimensional issue and one of its important components is the satisfaction its service providers. The aim of the study is to provide an instrument for evaluating the satisfaction of general stomatologists, specialists in General Comprehensive Stomatology, graduates and technicians in Stomatologic Care of the General Comprehensive Stomatology services. This paper presents the results of a technological development and innovation research that followed a mixed research approach, carried out between February 2020 and December 2021. It had two fundamental stages: the design and the validation of the instrument. In the first stage, the methods of content analysis and consultation with specialists were used. In the second stage, content validity was obtained using expert criteria, discriminatory capacity with Student's t-test and internal consistency using Cronbach's alpha coefficient. The SALEST questionnaire, which includes six variables and 19 items, is presented; statistical tests confirm its validity. The SALEST instrument allows to reliably evaluate job satisfaction in the Comprehensive General Stomatology services in Cuba and it can be used in the administrative and academic field.
