The development of R&D&I projects applied to the business environment is a fundamental basis for knowledge generation, capacity building and organizational innovation. In this endeavor, the work presented had the main objective of evaluating the results of the business project Organizational Innovation in the Electric Company of Cienfuegos from the link with the University of Cienfuegos, based on the consistent application of a general methodology of analysis and strategic projection. The work coordinated by a team, since 2019, and integrated by students and professors from different careers of the University of Cienfuegos, specialists and managers of the Company itself allowed facing with a multidisciplinary character the problems and solutions given, which facilitated the high level of application of the results obtained. The consolidation of changes related to the development of new organizational routines for the research activity related to innovation management, a greater integration of its management systems, the increase of the effectiveness of the human capital management system focused on competences and process management constitute aspects that remain on the agenda of this project to explain and support the results of organizational innovation.
