Abstract

CALZADILLA-PEREZ, Oscar Ovidio  and  CARVAJAL DONARI, Constanza Andrea. From neuroscientific to neurodidactic knowledge in early childhood education and its teachers: systematic review. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2022, vol.14, n.6, pp. 185-197.  Epub Dec 30, 2022. ISSN 2218-3620.

The article explores the need to update the initial training of Early Childhood Education teachers in neuroscientific knowledge with contributions to their neurodidactic training for the integrative treatment of pedagogical and disciplinary knowledge. This problem corresponds to the demands of public education policies in Chile, which leads to redefining teaching practices in coherence with the particularities of child development up to six years. The objective is to build a systematic review of articles published in journals indexed in the databases Dialnet and SciELO between the years 2016 and 2020 that address applications of neuroscientific knowledge in Early Childhood Education with contributions to training in Neurodidactics in the teachers of this level. The research procedure considered a sample of 50 articles, when inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied to obtain the most relevant information. The results show five lines of research on recurrence, journals, languages, institutions, countries, the most widely used research designs and instruments, and biases with an impact on the training of the Early Childhood Education leading to future research.

Keywords : curriculum; higher education; special teacher education; neurobiology; early childhood.
