Abstract

MENA PEREZ, Ovel; MARIN ROJAS, Armando  and  ABREUS MORA, Jorge Luis. Post-career detraining, mistake and uncertainty. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2022, vol.14, n.6, pp. 350-359.  Epub Dec 30, 2022. ISSN 2218-3620.

The present work lays its foundations in sports detraining, as a process aimed at preserving the health of high-performance athletes who complete their active sports life. Theoretical elements and statistical data are offered that demonstrate the ignorance and insensitivity of the protagonists to this process. To do this, we worked with a population of 15 athletes, who, upon reaching the twelfth grade at the Jorge Agostini de Cienfuegos provincial EIDE, also reached the end of their sports career. Those who experience physical, organic and psychological transadaptations, which, if not untrained, would become aggravating factors that compromise their health in a relatively short time. The criteria that are offered are scientifically proven patterns of great value, which allow us to infer that for dissimilar causes these subjects will not untrain despite the consequences in the future.

Keywords : Sports untraining; organic; physical; psychological components.
