ANDRADE OLVERA, Gitta Antonella; MOLINA MORA, José Fabian  and  ROBLES ZAMBRANO, Genesis Karolina. Senior citizens: the right to receive priority attention at the civil registry office of Ecuador. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2022, vol.14, n.6, pp. 466-472.  Epub Dec 30, 2022. ISSN 2218-3620.

At present, the elderly, also known as older adults, live in total ignorance of the rights that correspond to them by law, the same rights that are violated when they are not respected, when they attend public entities such as the Civil Registry. The benefit of them is that they are treated with priority wherever they go, since due to their age they cannot wait in long lines at public entities. A qualitative-quantitative approach was assumed from a descriptive scope, in which theoretical methods such as analysis and synthesis, modeling and inductive-deductive were used. From the empirical the review of documents, the observation among others. It comes to the conclusion that; Older adults need to know more about their priority attention to carry out their procedures in public entities, quickly and comfortably. Make respect their rights and charity that the law deserves.

Keywords : older adults; Civil Registry; lack of knowledge; priority attention.
