Abstract

MANCHENO SALAZAR, Germán Marcelo; ANDRADE ARRIETA, Iván Fernando  and  GUARANGA CHAFLA, Jorge Leonardo. Persons deprived of liberty, agglomeration in prisons: right to social inclusion. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2022, vol.14, n.6, pp. 496-504.  Epub Dec 30, 2022. ISSN 2218-3620.

The work aims to study the right of persons deprived of liberty to reintegrate into society, which is often violated due to the agglomeration of inmates that we find inside prisons, which has a negative impact on the living conditions of those deprived of liberty. It has been shown that the overcrowding of inmates in prisons exceeds 30% of the established capacity. For the realization of this work, we used the interpretative method, analyzing scientific material. From the research we can conclude that overcrowding in prisons is an adverse situation that does not allow inmates to easily obtain the right to social reintegration.
