Abstract

A bibliographic review is carried out on the treatment given in the scientific literature to the terms: impact evaluation, social impact evaluation, economic impact evaluation, impact evaluation in the natural environment and Economic Development Zones, carried out for various disciplines and for the area of ​​applied economics. The diversity of meanings, their coinciding and divergent points, is demonstrated. Finally, the article offers as a contribution a broad definition of evaluation of the socio-economic impact and in the natural environment of Special Development Zones, based on elements addressed in qualified articles, a conception not found in the bibliographic review, constituting the conceptual definition elaborated on objective of this article.
