Abstract

QUISPE AQUISE, Jhemy et al. Educational management and digital competence of teachers of public educational institutions in Puerto Maldonado. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2023, vol.15, n.2, pp. 217-224.  Epub Apr 30, 2023. ISSN 2218-3620.

The objective of this research was to determine if there is a significant relationship between educational management and the digital competence of teachers in public educational institutions in the city of Puerto Maldonado, Peru. The approach addressed was quantitative, the design was non-experimental and the type was descriptive, correlational, cross-sectional. The sample consisted of 200 regular basic education teachers who responded to the Educational Management Questionnaire and the Digital Teacher Competence Questionnaire, instruments with adequate levels of validity and reliability. The results indicate that, according to the teachers' perception, the level of educational management and their digital competence was regular. Likewise, it was determined that the Spearman's rho correlation coefficient between both variables was 0.526 and the p-value was lower than the significance level (p<0.05). Therefore, it was concluded that there is a direct and significant relationship between educational management and the digital competence of teachers in public educational institutions in the city of Puerto Maldonado, Peru. Therefore, it is necessary that the educational management carried out by the management teams of educational institutions must be reoriented to strengthen the competence of teachers, which will improve their pedagogical practice.
