Abstract

BRITO MONTERO, Aimara; GONZALEZ SOUSA, Roberto  and  PELL DEL RIO, Silvia Miriam. Territorial management of Mayabeque's heritage according to development strategies. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2023, vol.15, n.2, pp. 695-708.  Epub Apr 30, 2023. ISSN 2218-3620.

The research focuses its objective on diagnosing the territorial management of the heritage of the province of Mayabeque, based on development strategies. In this sense, theoretical and practical criteria are defended that can be contextualized to achieve a greater revitalization of the studied territory.

The characterization of the Mayabeque territory was achieved, with emphasis on heritage values. The analysis-synthesis, historical-logical, abstract-concrete, induction-deduction and systemic-structural method was essential. In addition, the application of questionnaires, discussion group guide, in-depth interview guide. All were applied to public servants (s). Likewise, the documentary analysis of the Municipal Development Strategies (EDM) and the ideas registered for the elaboration of the Provincial Development Strategy (EDP) was carried out. The judgments issued made it possible to carry out the methodological triangulation and with this it was possible to identify trends, frequencies and regularities around the territorial management of heritage in relation to the development strategies of the Mayabeque province. These results make it possible to make decisions at the territorial level and boost development, based on the endogenous potential that the province presents, where the sustainability of the heritage built and acquired through multidimensional and transdisciplinary articulation is guaranteed.
