MEDINA LEON, Alberto; RAMIREZ HERNANDEZ, Katy; NOGUEIRA RIVERA, Dianelys  and  LORENTE LEYVA, Leandro L.. Visibility of higher education teachers from the perspective of a bibliometric analysis. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2023, vol.15, n.4, pp. 19-29.  Epub Aug 10, 2023. ISSN 2218-3620.

Bibliometric studies make it possible to analyze the scientific production generated on any discipline in the areas of natural and social sciences. This article shows partial results of a research that aims to identify metrics, good practices and trends that allow establishing work strategies for the improvement of science management in universities, as well as the visibility and impact of their professors. Bibliometric analysis is used as a method, using the VOSviewer 1.6.18 software to process the resulting information. The study focused on considering the occurrence of keywords and the relationship between authors. The results reveal the keywords with the highest occurrence: higher education; scientific production; visibility of researchers; management of science, technology and innovation and indicators of social networks. With a cut at an occurrence level equal to five (5), five clusters are obtained that show various trends or purposes in conducting these studies.
