VEGA FALCON, Vladimir; MEDINA LEON, Alberto; NAVARRO CEJAS, Mercedes and BASANTES VACA, Carmen Viviana. Application of the critic method to the selection of the post of business consultants. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2023, vol.15, n.4, pp. 128-137. Epub Aug 10, 2023. ISSN 2218-3620.
In the context of selecting candidates for different positions in a company, it is possible to use multi-criteria tools, such as the CRITIC method. Hence, the objective was to apply the CRITIC method in the selection of candidates for business consultantsde of a consulting firm. A descriptive, prospective, observational and cross-sectional study was developed to classify eight candidates who applied for jobs. The criteria of interest were analytical skills, consulting experience and technical knowledge. The CRITIC method was used to calculate the weights of each criterion and establish a ranking of the candidates. As a result, a ranking was established in which candidate 2 was positioned in first place with a weight of 0.1971, followed by candidate 1 (0.1941), candidate 5 (0.1920), candidate 3 (0, 1762), candidate 8 (0.1502), candidate 4 (0.0725), candidate 7 (0.0337), and candidate 6 (-0.0158). It was concluded that in the selection of candidates from the consulting firm studied and considering that two positions were on offer for the position of business consultant, the results proposed candidates 2 and 1, in that order.
