MEJIA ESCOBAR, Edgar Josué; SOSA, Diego; MOLINA, Joaquín  and  SANCHEZ, Daniel Antonio. Assessment of trends, seasonality, beginning and ending of the rainy season in central district, Honduras. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2023, vol.15, n.4, pp. 241-251.  Epub Aug 30, 2023. ISSN 2218-3620.

Using statistical methods, the monthly and annual behaviors of precipitation are studies with data from two weather stations located in Distrito Central, Honduras, during the time span of 30 years. the data is grouped in pentads to establish an interval for the starting and finishing periods of the rainy season of the region. Time series are used to determine the existence of seasonality to discover any change in precipitation through time. Time series are also used to search for a linear monotonic trend in the data to establish whether they present an increasing or decreasing behavior over the years.
