Abstract

The procrastination has become one of the current problems for the university students, which constitutes the tendency to delay the beginning or the finalization of important tasks until the point of the annoyance. The objective of this study is to characterize the factors that impact in the academic procrastination of the students of the program of Financial Administration of the University of the Amazonia, campus Florence (Caquetá). The investigation is mixed, it was used tools of quantitative and qualitative type. The applied instruments were the PASS and the interview to 105 students registered in the program of Financial Administration during the period 2019-2. The main results show that a high delay frequency, tied situation with the characteristics characteristic of the student exists from the modality to distance, it was also evidenced that before more postponement adult’s levels of anxiety, also causing a high desire of change. The main reason for to procrastinate is the anxiety to the evaluation, for such a reason self-regulation interventions like the exhibition should be designed to the events that generate anxiety.
