Pre-professional practices play an essential role in the student's professional training, especially in a competency-based curriculum design. The research aims to evaluate the pre-professional practices of the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Havana. It is developed under a mixed concurrent triangulation approach. Several sample groups are used: students, coordinating teachers, internal / external tutors and employers. Favorable evaluations of pre-professional practices in all their dimensions were obtained, highlighting their relevance and contribution to professional training. The development of professional competencies was assessed between the levels a lot of and enough. Research and diagnosis / evaluation competencies reached the higher levels, while intervention and prevention / promotion the lower levels. Recommendations are offered for the improvement of skills training through pre-professional practices.
