Abstract

This study aimed to determine the relationship between the work environment and job satisfaction in workers of a service company in Trujillo, Peru. The study was carried out considering the quantitative approach, non-experimental design, basic type and correlational level. The sample was census made up of 128 workers from a service company located in Trujillo, Peru. The survey technique was used and as an instrument two questionnaires were used to evaluate each variable adjusted according to the CL-SPC Scale for measuring the work environment and job satisfaction prepared by Palma; the questionnaires were validated by expert judgments and their reliability was established with Cronbach's Alpha Coefficient. The findings indicate the predominance of a moderate level in the variables work climate and job satisfaction with 52.34% and 56.25% respectively. It is concluded that there is a significant relationship between the variable work climate and job satisfaction (p= 0.000 < 0.05), the coefficient Rho = 0.789, suggests that the relationship is direct and high; therefore, it can be affirmed that increasing the level of the work environment will increase the level of job satisfaction in the workers of a service company in Trujillo, Peru.
