Abstract

This work was carried out in the Provincial Company of Metal Forming and Materials of Construction (METALCONF), located in the municipality of Placetas, Villa Clara province, in collaboration with its Research and Development department, consists of a detailed study of the dangers involving the manipulation and storage of raw materials used in the process of obtaining aluminum castings, developing their technical data sheets safety. Hazards are identified and defined levels of risk hierarchy of each of the areas and stages of the production process by calculating the Dow Fire and Explosion. From the definition of the most dangerous areas are likely to involve accidents for which calculates the magnitude of their effects and assessing impact on people, facilities and natural environment; using the Probit models of vulnerability and the Index global environmental consequences. All this is complemented by the proposal to the company management of the basic procedures for the future implementation of a safety management system technology.
