Abstract

PENA-ABREU, Ramón Eddie; RAMIREZ-ABERASTURIS, Andys Marcos; GARCIA-OLIVERO, Leonel  and  MENES-VUELTAS, Gerardo. Analysis of the ore feed ratio vs efficiency of a business process niequelifera with caron. RTQ [online]. 2012, vol.32, n.1, pp. 94-104. ISSN 2224-6185.

During a year of mining and industrial operations in which instabilities occurred in both links of the process, at a nickel plant with Caron technology; efficiency problems occurred, the origin of this situation was not known clearly and there were doubts about the quality materials supplied, it was estimated that the introduction of atypical minerals were the cause of the problem so that it became necessary to evaluate the metallurgical performance and its relation to feeding the raw material from different sites in operation. The evaluation of the influence exerted by the fed minerals on the performance of metallurgical process was set as objective. The multi varied statistical study was the tool that allowed us to validate the performances, it was determined that poor operations were the main cause of inefficiency. We obtained the probability distribution in each of the variables; which allowed knowing the nature of the feeding processes and its correspondence with the outputs.

Keywords : industrial process analysis; main components; classification.
