ABSTRACT

Noise is included within the five main risk factors of a physical nature for health in the workplace. The objective of this work is to study the impact of noise from the measurement of sound pressure levels generated in areas of the Grain Base Business Unit Frank País García in the Santiago de Cuba municipality. The sound level measurements in the work area were carried out according to the methodology established by the Cuban Standard NC 19-01-14/83. The noise was measured in 31 work stations distributed in three production areas. Noise level measurements were carried out and 32.26% of the Jobs stations that were evaluated exceed the maximum admissible values ​​established by the Cuban standard NC 871:2011, with the highest noise exposure levels being found in five points in Wheat I, two points for Wheat II and three points for the soybean plant. Verifying that noise constitutes an occupational risk factor in the CerealsCompany Frank País García, of marked importance in the organization, for which a set of control actions must be applied to effectively reduce the risk.
