Abstract

OSORIO ROIG, Daile  and  GAREA LLANO, Eduardo. Study of segmentation fusion techniques. Rev cuba cienc informat [online]. 2016, vol.10, n.1, pp. 134-140. ISSN 2227-1899.

ABSTRACT The process of image fusion, has become today one of the most crucial to achieve accuracy and quality of an image forms. In the biometric iris recognition, image fusion has also played an important role in the final process of recognition, making better focus on the segmentation process, since an error during this stage would lead to serious errors in the final result. The main objective of this process under this context is called fusion segmentation is based on a set of segmented and normalized images for a single normalized image, for greater precision in the final iris recognition. This is why it has dedicated a study of the state of art of different techniques for image fusion, and a study of different measures to assess the quality of the fused image.

Keywords : Image fusion; fusion segmentation; segmentation process.
