Abstract

PERERA TELLEZ, Geiser  and  BETANCOURT GARCIA, María Elena. Interpretation Techniques for Tourist Management of City Tours: the Case of Camaguey. Rev retos [online]. 2016, vol.10, n.1, pp. 94-113. ISSN 2306-9155.

Interpretive techniques applicable to city tours in Camaguey were identified. The aim was to enhance touristic management, and increase the use of heritage-related potentials of the city. Eight tours given by national city-based travel agencies were studied. Accordingly, the interpretive techniques proposed were analogy, questions, relevance, motivation, and mystery. Their application in the city of Camaguey is still insufficient to achieve satisfactory touristic management in the location.
