Abstract

ROMERO PAZ, Manuel de Jesús; ALPIZAR TERRERO, Dra. C. María Ángeles; LEON ROBAINA, Rosario  and  CASTELLANOS PALLEROLS, Graciela María. Transference of Scientific Research Results of Universities through Business Incubators. Rev retos [online]. 2020, vol.14, n.1, pp. 235-263.  Epub Jan 05, 2020. ISSN 2306-9155.

Objective:

To propose a methodological design to transfer the results of scientific research through company incubators, which may improve the opportunities to link universities and organizations.

Methods:

Systematic bibliographic review, triangulation, case study, and user criteria.

Main results:

A management methodology was designed for transferring the results of scientific research from universities through business incubators. A system of procedures was created, which allowed for the implementation of the proposal in sales and transferring, the completion of research cycles, and the promotion of new projects in business incubators.

Conclusions:

The feasibility of business incubators was demonstrated as an interface in university-business ties. A system of procedures was generated, which was associated to the stages of management of transference results. Opportunity matrixes for transference were designed from indicators of project result selection, which created a portfolio of opportunities to foster ties with the business sector. The design of the methodology for management of the result transference process was validated through a set of 118 relevant investigations, at the University of Oriente, Cuba.

Keywords : transference of research results; business university incubators; university-company ties.
