Abstract

MOREIRA VERA, David Wilfrido; MACHADO RAMIREZ, Evelio F.  and  ZAMBRANO CEDENO, Jessica Mariela. A Conceptual Approach to Economist Competence Project Management of Mini-Companies. Rev retos [online]. 2021, vol.15, n.2, pp. 3-20.  Epub Aug 28, 2021. ISSN 2306-9155.

Aim:

To assess the theoretical treatment of formation and development of competence project management of mini-companies, by economists.

Methods and techniques:

Theoretical research methods were used to provide the rationale that helps unveil the gap existing in this area of knowledge.

Main results:

Besides recognizing the priority of the Ecuadoran government to encourage mini-company project submission, emphasis was made on that it is also a responsibility of universities during professional education, so that economists can provide counseling, and be in charge of professional training. Accordingly, recent literature was reviewed to assess the state of the art regarding this competence.

Conclusions:

The complex character of competence-based education is explained, in order to include the competence of project management of mini-companies in the curriculum of education in economics.

Keywords : project-based learning; project managing; mini-company..
