Aim:

To design a procedure for evaluating key factors of human talent management in SMEs within the trading sector, in Autlán de Navarro, Jalisco, México.

Methods and techniques:

Documentary analysis, interviews, and expert opinion.

Main results:

The design of a procedure for the evaluation of key factors associated with human talent management in small and mid-sized companies in the above location. Conclusions: The design of this procedure contributes theoretically and methodologically to systematizing the study of the process of human talent management. Its implementation will allow entrepreneurs of the organizations studied to identify, determine, and evaluate the key factors of this process with a scientific rationale. Moreover, it sets the basis for further research as to the correlation between key factors of the process of human talent management, with the results of SMEs, and therefore, competitiveness. Hence, this procedure can contribute with information for correlational-explicative studies.
