Abstract

With the advancement of information technology and its impact on all areas of society are clearly needed to obtain useful and relevant information, a task designated for compliance by librarians. The present study describes the preparation of blogs about information resources relating to STD/ HIV/AIDS and alcoholism in order to encourage professionals and health technicians extent of different sources of information covering topics related to the topic that can contribute to both research and practice and medical decision making. For the creation of these products, we took into account the information needs: within them the main health problems identified in the province and the institutional project STI/HIV/AIDS. We used the blog that is the generic service to build sites of various kinds that are intended to communicate information through the Web. The results provide access to the information necessary for decision making. The products are on display in the website of the Provincial Information Center of Medical Sciences.
