The article addresses the issue of consumer protection, its importance and relevance in Cuba. In the same way, the objective and subjective reasons that influence the non-materialization of these rights in the country are addressed. The internal difficulties that affect this process are highlighted, related to concepts, structures and legislative absences that limit the materialization of the designed Consumer Protection System. Subjective difficulties are mentioned, which in and of themselves represent a barrier like any of the previous ones, as sensitivity is hurt and the rights of consumers are violated due to ignorance, lack of culture and violation of the established.
