Currently, Cuba is going through a process of updating its economic model, so deep transformations are being carried out that impact all sectors of the economy. In important programmatic documents of the country such as the Conceptualization of the Cuban Economic and Social Model as well as the Economic and Social Development Plan until 2030 there is an emphasis on promoting productive chains based on new technological bases, management models and organization of the production. Hence, the article aims to establish the theoretical framework on the methodologies for the analysis of productive chains that served as the basis for the design of the one proposed as a result as well as an analysis of the Agrocadenas project that allowed the partial application to the case of the bean production chain in the central region of Cuba.
