TRIANA VELAZQUEZ, Yury; GARCIA GONZALEZ, Máryuri; DIAZ PEREZ, Maidelyn  and  FERRAGUT REINOSO, Ekaterina. Science, Technology and Innovation Systems: integration of actors for development. Estudios del Desarrollo Social [online]. 2021, vol.9, n.2  Epub July 01, 2021. ISSN 2308-0132.

Today they are a priority, the creation of new knowledge taking into account the collaboration and strengthening of science infrastructures and actors. The present research aims to describe the Science, Technology and Innovation System in force in Cuba, based on the diagnosis of a case study aimed at identifying the main aspects that affect the linking of actors and knowledge within a CTI-MA. Theoretical and empirical methods were applied. The questionnaire and the in-depth interview were also used as empirical techniques. The results were triangulated by focal group. These showed the inefficiency of certain management mechanisms of science activities, which affect the lack of interconnection between many actors, the few existing strategic alliances between sectors, as well as the poor mechanisms for socializing results, among other aspects, that, in the same way, have repercussions in an unsuccessful management of the knowledge that is generated in science systems. This research revealed the essence of many problems that occur within the science system, the solution of which largely depends on the ways in which science, technology, innovation and environmental activities are managed.

Keywords : science management; technology and innovation; linkage of actors; university, company, government and society relationship; knowledge management.
