The analysis of the COVID-19 pandemic has been approached from different sciences, mainly focused on its causes, features and impact. The knowledge and learning that the crisis contributed as a society has also generated different criteria. The proposed sociological approach, rather than providing a theoretical analysis, focuses on social impact and mainly, identify knowledge that improves the functioning, organization and social responsibility of the State institutions involved. Researchers, decision makers, leaders and the general population could consider our reference as a benchmark to design social policies and strategies for change and social development.
