Abstract

The study presented determines the main limitations of the management of intellectual capital in commercial banking in Camagüey. It’s exploratory research with a mixed approach, with assume the logical-methodological approach methodology. There was selected experts, specialists and clients by means of the coefficient of competence, judgment sampling and systematic sampling respectively. The main results obtained from the triangulation of the data by the three sources studied support the existence of seven limitations in the management of intellectual capital in Camagüey banking. It concludes by recognizing a group of limitations in the treatment of this important intangible at national and international level, and the lack of motivation and specialization of professionals, poor communication with clients and problems with the infrastructure in bank branches such as the most representative in Camagüey.
