QUIROZ PENA, Jaime Iván; RIZO VELEZ, Jairo Rolando; DE LA TORRE LASCANO, Carlos Mauricio  and  RIZO VELEZ, Génesis Dayana. Impact of Gamification on the Learning of Ecuadorian University Students. Case Study. Estudios del Desarrollo Social [online]. 2022, vol.10, n.3  Epub Dec 01, 2022. ISSN 2308-0132.

The development of information and communication technologies have contributed to the improvement of teaching and learning processes at each of the educational levels. Some higher education institutions in Ecuador have taken advantage of these tools as means of teaching and the interactions that take place between them and the students. An example of this is the use of gamification as an alternative to increase motivation and social and digital skills in students studying Social Sciences. Therefore, the objective of this article is to analyze the impact of gamification on the learning of a selected group of students belonging to three Ecuadorian universities, for which a quasi-experimental study was carried out using the Quizizz online platform. The results obtained demonstrated the validity and relevance of these tools in university educational contexts for student learning.
