Abstract

The article exposes Ernesto Guevara's ideas regarding economic development, its links with foundational Marxism, as well as the critical assimilation of the main theoretical references on this topic. The results presented in this article are part of a doctoral research, which provides elements for the theoretical interpretation of the idea of economic development present in Che Guevara's thought, from the economy-politics-development relationship. As a general method of the sciences, the dialectical-materialist approach was used, with the logic of theoretical investigations, supported by other methods that made it possible to glimpse the essential links of economic development in Guevara's work on the socialist transition in Cuba.
