Justified in the expansion of the patrimonial field and in the democratization of museums as a space for representing ethos and urbanity itself, this article, through a theoretical analysis and the museological scenario in Latin America and the Iberian Peninsula, propose a reflection on the potential of communication in promoting social change in relation to gender equality and consequently changes in social relations and urban space.
