Abstract

The article presents the methodological experience for the design of an info-communicational procedure for the integral management of drought in Cuba. Among the research methods and techniques used are the classic documentary analysis, the interview, as well as popular education techniques. These methods allowed, at first, to deepen the information and communication problems between the various institutional actors linked to the integral management of drought in Cuba. Subsequently, it was possible to determine those essential elements for the design of an info-communicational procedure to support the integral management of drought. Among the results achieved is the methodology developed for the identification of informational and communicative problems, and the design of a procedure that ensures the availability and sharing of quality information among all the actors related to the drought. The experience developed allows us to establish a methodology focused on the solution of recurrent info-communicational problems, early alert and the integral management of hydro-meteorological phenomena, managing to create new dynamics of interaction between key actors of these systems.
