The work addresses the educational experience around the production of journalistic texts related to environmental issues, made by freshmen of Journalism. It is a matter of priority present in the public communication given the need to promote messages that contribute to the knowledge of this problem and environmental sustainability, so it is imperative to prepare future professionals in the responsibility of information and communication for early warning and disaster risk reduction. During the two semesters of the Printed Journalism subject, the resulting works were selected, ranked, produced and disseminated. These materials can be accessed through the teaching blog www.islalsur.worpress.com,which serves as publication of the subject in question.
