Abstract

COSTALES PEREZ, Zenaida  and  ALFONSO BERGANTINO, Lys. Ventana Rebelde: sound narrative of Cuban medical collaboration in times of pandemic. ARCIC [online]. 2020, vol.9, n.24, pp. 68-79.  Epub Jan 18, 2021. ISSN 2411-9970.

Faced with the health situation generated by the pandemic, Cuban radio has had to reorganize itself, reinvent ways of being and doing to accompany citizens. In a context that demands information, proximity and credibility, radio has once again built a necessary bridge for social conversation. During the confinement, listeners and Internet users approached the radio medium to circumvent social isolation. The radio magazine format and, especially, the Ventana Rebelde program, on the national radio station Radio Rebelde, fostered exchanges with health personnel on internationalist missions, adapting to the times of social networks and new technologies.

Keywords : Cuban radio; new radio; Ventana Rebelde; medical collaborators.
