HERNANDEZ PEREZ, Camila María. Stories of cuban emigrants on the social network Facebook. ARCIC [online]. 2021, vol.10, n.25, pp. 49-71.  Epub Apr 01, 2021. ISSN 2411-9970.

The transmission of content through photographs, videos and infographics is one of the main characteristics of online social networks. Migratory processes are phenomena that are not alien to these digital platforms, which have managed o connect the destination society with the receiving society inmediately. Analyzing the stories published by a group of cuban emigrants on online social networks about their vision of the country of origin and the country of destination, as well as the relationships they maintain with each of them, is the main objective of this research. Though a qualitative methodology and the use of techniques such as content analysis, it was possible to corroborate that users create and share differentiated content depending on the space from which their speeches develop.

Keywords : migration; online social networks; country of destination; country of origin; cuban emigrants; Facebook.
