Abstract

This paper reviewed the menopausal osteoporosis, its prevention options and risk factors as well as the different therapies and the epidemiological approach on this disease called “the silent epidemic” by some experts. It also underlined the importance of education for the taking of prevention and promotion measures, as elements of great value in the care of this disease in which a correct health education together with comprehensive therapeutical procedures would succeed in reducing its negative impact on the quality of life of those who suffer it.
