Abstract

LANDIN MESA, Yosvany  and  NODA GARCIA, Teresa Iris. Floral therapy in climacteric symptoms. Rev Cubana Obstet Ginecol [online]. 2002, vol.28, n.2, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1561-3062.

A descriptive, longitudinal and prospective study was carried out in 62 patients who visited the floral therapy office of the "1ro de Enero" Teaching Polyclinic, in the municipality of Playa, from December, 1999, to December, 2000, in order to study the efficacy of floral therapy to treat symptoms. All patients were surveyed according to the objectives of this paper and they were put under treatment. They were evaluated at the first, third and sixth month to analyze the evolution of the symptoms and the possible secondary reactions. In the studied sample, hot flashes, sweats, acroparesthesia, nervousness and anxiety were the most frequent symptoms, as well as the group of neurovegetative symptoms, where the treatment had the best results. Excepting skin dryness, the rest of the symptoms improve significantly with floral therapy, which has no secondary reactions.
