Abstract

To know the tissue recognition in normal organs of these monoclonal antibodies directed against gangliosides molecules is important as part of their evaluation for diagnostic use. The fresh samples were processed and later fixed in paraformaldehyde. The 3 supernadants of culture were purely worked and negative and positive controls were used in all the experiments. The 3 monoclonal antibodies reacted to cells from the intestinal epithelium and from the connective tissue of the submucosa. A3 and E1 Antigens were also located in the tracheobronchial epithelium. The monoclonal antibody E1 reacted to the renal and prostatic epithelial, whereas the A3 did it in the epidermis and the myenteric autonomous ganglia. The immunostaining of the renal and intestinal secretions with these monoclonal antibodies together with the characteristics of the tissue marking may suggest the monosaccharic nature of these antigens.
