The services that may be rendered by using the DOCTUS IV patient monitor designed by the authors and a group of researchers from the Central Institute of Digital Research are assessed here. This equipment is a modular and flexible system with independent and interchangeable modules for the different physiologic parameters. This equipment was compared with other recognized monitors from the functional and ergonomic point of view
