Abstract

VERGARA, Candelaria  and  MARTINEZ ALFARO, Beatriz Mercedes. Genetic mapping by means of ligament unbalance by mix and its application in complex diseases. Rev Cubana Invest Bioméd [online]. 2008, vol.27, n.2, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1561-3011.

Characterization of gens involved in complex diseases is one of greatest challenges in field of human genetics. Included in the more used strategies to this objective are studies of ligament in families, and studies of population association, using cases and controls. However, in pas years an alternative proposal is the genetic mapping method by unbalance of ligament by mix, also called "Admixture Mapping" (AM). It is an strategy that methodologically is placed among ligament studies in families and the genomic searching for association, and it is applicable in populations presenting with genetic mixture

Keywords : AMs; ancestral marker; complex diseases; mixed populations; genomic mapping.
